The 28th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration honored area students with scholarships and for their essay submissions. Here are this year's recipients and winners.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) is now accepting entries for its 2016-17 youth scholarship competition. This is an opportunity for local students to win awards as well as on the state and national levels. VFW’s Voice of Democracy has been the VFW’s premier scholarship program since 1947. This years’ theme for the scholarship program.
Optimist Essay contest scholarship will be sp eligible to compete at any level of the competition again. 4. All contestants at each level of the contest pointsmust show proof of age before competing. Optimist Clubs may require a copy of birth 4.certificate or passport before participating if offering a Club scholarship separate from Optimist International. District winners must provide a copy.
R.D.Sethna Scholarship ( Loan Scholarship ) For Indian Students 2020 Applications for loan scholarships are invited by the Trust from 1st April each year. The last date for receiving applications for overseas studies is 31 May and for local studies is 31st August each year.
The Four-Way Test Essay contest in District 7390 was initiated in 2006-07 by the Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg-North in the 9 th grade at Cumberland Valley High School. The winner of their 2007-08 contest presented her essay at the District Conference and was well received.
The Parade of Winners is where all National Voice of Democracy Scholarship winners were announced and the first-place winner delivered her essay in person. Congratulations to Savannah Wittman, a senior at Bret Harte High School, was named the 2016-17 Voice of Democracy first-place winner.
